The witch of blair
During the month of February of year 1785, in the called town Blair (Maryland, the United States), children denounced that a old one of the place, call Elly Kedward had deceived, them so that they went to his house, where it came to extract blood to them. The children denounced the fact as soon as they had contact with his parents, and they did the own thing before the authorities of the place. Before the evidence (the wounds of the children), the inhabitants of Blair reacted with amazing rapidity: in agreement with the norms and laws of the place they expelled, it from the town, although from a very sadistic form: Kedward was tied to a small wheelbarrow, and in her it was pushed until the forests of the place, soon to be left by chance in a winter that was especially crude. The villagers gave by fact that the supposed sorceress would have died of cold, hunger, or of some other form, reason why did not worry too much, committing a fatal error. In November of 1786, more of a year after the abandonment of Elly Kedward, the daughter of the magistrate of Blair disappeared without leaving signs during the first night in which it snowed. One week later, happened the same to the main prosecutor of Kedward. But that was not everything, but, for the end of the winter, almost half of the children of the town had disappeared mysteriously, including a all that denounced the sorceress. Fearing a curse, great part of the inhabitants of Blair fled as soon as it improved the time and swore not to return to pronounce the name of Elly Kedward. In November of 1809 the titled book is published the Cult to the Sorceress of Blair. It is a cheap fiction history as far as quality, in which the history of a called town Blair is counted that is under the curse of a called sorceress Elly Kedward. According to the book, the sorceress is hunted and burned by her crimes. On 1824 Burkittsville is based, on the old establishment of Blair, although no of their founders knows old history the place. There were no witchcraft indications until August of 1825: a ten of neighbors of Burkittsville assures that of the river that crosses the locality it leaves a hand an extremely pale woman. People begin to investigate but the hand disappears mysteriously; nevertheless, nobody can avoid that Eilleen Treacle, a girl of ten years, would submerge in the river. Nobody never returned to see it, but from its disappearance, I coil was obstructed by an incredible amount of greasy branches that affected the potability and purity of the water. A villager dies soon after, but its death is attributed to the contamination of the river. Much later, in March of 1886, a girl of eight years disappears called Ravin Weaver. Several rescue teams are sent to look for it. Ravin returns, but the same does not happen to one of the rescue groups. Few weeks later the bodies of that one group are found in a called place Coffin Rock. The corpses were tied to each other in pentagonal form, and all brutally had been gutted. But there was no another mysterious event until more than fifty years later: seven children disappear between November of 1940 and March of 1941. That same month, a called hermit Rustin Parr goes to the market of the town and shouts finally “I have finished “. Nobody could decipher the meaning of these words at the moment, neither to sonsacar the more information to Parr, until the police of the place is taken by he himself until its cabin, where Parr assured that they would understand everything. After four hours of long walk by the forest (the same in which Elly Kedward had been left) they arrive at the cabin of Parr, discovering there the corpses of the seven children, placed in seven tombs. After digging up the bodies, violence symbols are discovered, and some were gutted, as if its murder had comprised of a diabolic ritual. Parr is condemned by the murder of the seven children, although this one never leaves its explanation: it says that it could listen to a voice in his mind, the voice of a old one, directed that it at any moment. Parr is executed in the gift. The people of the place tell that Parr, once kidnapped the children took, them from a two to the cellar of the cabin. There, she placed one in a corner, because she could not support his glances. She killed to that she was next to him, and soon did the own thing with that one was in the corner.
In October of 1994, a group of film directors is interested in this urban legend, deciding to make a documentary one to investigate his veracity. Their names are Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael Williams. In his eagerness to collect the greater amount of possible information, they decide to interview the inhabitants of Burkittsville, between which is Mary Brown: a old one that is taken by crazy person in that population. Brown assures that a day, while it observed the sky recostada in a pile of leaves of the forest, felt a strange presence next to her. He tells that he could see a strange woman totally covered with hair, result of a mixture between a human and a beast. Brown assures that the woman at issue was Elly Kedward, the sorceress of Blair. The 21 of October, the three film directors is entered in the forest of the place with the aim of finding Coffin Rock, the place where the strange massacre of a rescue group was realised. The cinema students must of have returned day 23; nevertheless, he arrived the 25 from October, and there was no sign of them. The authorities find the car of Joshua Leonard on the brink of madness the highway. A day later, the relatives of the disappeared ones denounce the situation. The police of the state of Maryland is in charge of the search, action that is carried out during three days by a total of one hundred men, although do not find signs of them. The 16 of October of 1995, an anthropology student finds several elements of shooting that, knew after seeing tapes, were used by the three film directors to realise the documentary one. The things were buried under an old cabin; the same in which they had killed the seven children. There is sign of the no bodies of the students. The police sees shooting tapes and determines that, indeed, they belonged to the group of cinema students. They realised a compilation of some scenes of them, who were given to the relatives. Nevertheless, the investigation does not advance, by supposed lack of tests. A year later is made I publish a second fragment of the shooting, but the investigation follows without advancing. Finally, the case occurs by closed. The families receive the totality of the shootings, but the bodies of Heather Donahue, Joshua Leonard and Michael Williams never were found.
